Geranium Pelargonium Graveolens (Middle note) Stabilizing balancing and nurturing
With over 200 species, only a few varieties are used in the production of Geranium oil, the main one used is is Pelargonium Graveolens. The main areas known for essential oil production are Madagascar, the Congo, Egypt, and Re/union de Bourbon and also northern African ares such as Spain, France, Italy and Corsica.
The benefits of Geranium oil were really discovered by Recluz who distilled the leaves in 1819, followed by a study which was done in Paris by a chemist and botanist Demarson who introduce Rose Geranium to Aromatherapy.
The oil is produced by steam distillation of leaves, it is an extremely important and useful oil and can help treat many conditions. It is an adaptogen regulating the immune system, the nervous system and glandular system
